He used to be the adorable boy next door who set tween girls' hearts aflutter around the world.
But Justin Bieber's fashion sense has grown more and more questionable over the years as he adopts a street style look that comes off as trying too hard.
The 20-year-old looked ridiculous in knee-length black socks under baggy shorts as he left a convenience store with a preppy-looking Lil Twist in West Hollywood, California on Thursday.

Justin paired the ludicrously over-sized shorts with a loose black shirt paired with a purple hoodie and bright purple trainers.
He accessorised with long gold chains around his neck, a backwards baseball cap and large aviator shades, which all had the effect of making the singer look a bit silly rather than cool.
The pop star showed off his multiple tattoos on his forearm as he pouted while exiting the store with his rapper friend.

Lil Twist, meanwhile, looked rather smart in baggy white trousers and an Aztec-print sweater teamed with black loafers and a black bowler hat.
He was seen sticking close to his superstar pal, no doubt happy to have Justin back home after his world tour.
The 20-year-old was likely relieved to still be included in Justin's posse after his recent troublemaking spree.
At the beginning of the year, Lil Twist was pulled over for speeding in one of Justin's luxury vehicles, causing a paparazzo to be killed by oncoming traffic while trying to photograph the car.

A couple days later, pictures surfaced of the two BFFs smoking what, according to sources, were cannabis blunts at a Newport Beach hotel room party.
In early March, loaned his mirrored Fisker Karma to his Dallas-born rapper buddy, who promptly crashed it into cement poles in front of a wall at a San Fernando Valley liquor store.
The saga continued a few weeks later when Lil Twist threw a party at Bieber's Calabasas mansion while the star was in Europe, where more photos surfaced on TMZ of pot, bongs and booze.
