German invasion gets underway as Bayern and Dortmund fans paint London red and yellow ahead of Wembley showpiece

We all hoped for an all-English final at Wembley, and Germany's invasion of London has given us all a taste of what could have been.
Fans of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich have been taking in the sights of the capital ahead of the Champions League Final tonight.

Everywhere you turn, fans clad in yellow or red are enjoying the trip of a lifetime as they hope to see their side overcome their compatriots.
And the sun was shining this morning after a day of rain on Friday, as the Germans made their way around Wembley Stadium and up Wembley way with hours to kill before kick-off.

Demand for tickets has been sky high, with more than half a million Borussia Dortmund supporters and 250,000 Bayern fans applying for just 24,000 tickets for each side.
After landing in London earlier on Friday, both teams got a chance to have a look at England's national stadium, which will host European football's showpiece match for the second time in three years.

Dortmund return to the Champions League final for the first time since 1997 when they beat Juventus 3-1 with the help of Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert, while Bayern hope to make amends and win their fifth title after the disappointment they suffered last year.
Prices started at £60 per ticket and go up to £330 for the top category, a shock for German fans used to much lower prices for Bundesliga matches.

And it was rumoured that tickets were flying on the black market for as much as £14,000 for a pair during the week, with fans desperate to see their side in Europe's major showpiece final.
For Dortmund, there is a sense that tonight could be their last major European final for some time, with Mario Gotze already leaving the club to join Bayern, and Robert Lewandowski looking odds-on to depart too.
For Bayern though, they will look to avoid becoming runners up in the competition for a record sixth time, after defeat in two of the past three years.
