Sheffield United were swept aside by Arsenal, led by a hat-trick from Eddie Nketiah.

Eddie Nketiah made a grand comeback to the Arsenal starting lineup, scoring his first Premier League hat-trick in a 5-0 victory over Sheffield United, the bottom-dwelling team.

For the Blades' visit, Mikel Arteta made five changes, and it was Nketiah—in place of the injured Gabriel Jesus—who made the difference and brought the afternoon to a memorable close while donning the captain's armband.

Alternates In an afternoon where Arsenal's fringe players were the main attraction, Fabio Vieira and Takehiro Tomiyasu sealed the victory late in the game with a penalty and a close-range strike, respectively.

The most notable change made by Arteta was the benching of Martin Odegaard, which also resulted in Emile Smith Rowe making his first league start since May 2022.

Arsenal's victory moved them up to second place in the league, two points behind leaders and rivals from North London, Tottenham, as Arteta's team continued their winning streak to ten league games.
