LIONEL MESSI appeared at the Ballon d'Or with his wife and three children, turning it into a family event.

At the annual France Football awards, the 36-year-old star of Argentina and Inter Miami won a record-breaking EIGHTH trophy.

Messi completed his amazing trophy cabinet last December as he led his nation to World Cup triumph in Qatar in a dramatic fashion.

Prior to potentially reclaiming the renowned golden trophy, Messi was accompanied by his closest companions on the red carpet at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris.

This year, he wore a navy tuxedo with a bow tie, keeping things understated.

With their three sons, Mateo, Thiago, and Ciro, looking lovely in matching blue suits, white shirts, and white trainers, Messi's wife Antonela Roccuzzo shone in an off-the-shoulder dress.

On the Ballon d'Or red carpet, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, teammates of Real Madrid, also attracted attention.

Bellingham, who won the Kopa Trophy as the finest young player in the world, matched his double-breasted black jacket with a striking pair of flares.
