She is known for her gruelling work-out regimes and passion for fitness - even admitting to celebrating promotions with a trip to the gym.
Which is why Madonna was the perfect advertisement for a new fitness club which she opened in Berlin, Germany, on Thursday.
The 55-year-old opened the centre called Hard Candy, alongside her personal trainer Nicole Winhoffer, as it was inspired by Madonna’s Addicted to Sweat workouts.

Appearing at the Truman Plaza, a former US army site in September 2013, the Vogue singer arrived in an all-leather ensemble, including skintight leather trousers and a black leather biker jacket.
She even wore a silver brooch embellished with the word 'hard,' if people did not need any more reminding of the Material Girl's physical and mental strength.
Madonna teamed the leather look with a pair of black round-toe stiletto heels and a pair of silver chain drop earrings attached to a black cube.

She left her golden locks parted to one side, whilst curling it into glamourous waves especially for the event.

The new Berlin club are offering a selection of programmes, incorporating dance elements choreographed by Nicole Winhoffer, as well as high-intensity exercise moves.

Madonna and personal trainer Nicole Winhoffer, have pioneered workouts that they believe are fun and entertaining.
The Berlin venue is just one on the fitness centres which Madonna plans to open for her trainer, who has already opened Hard Candy Fitness in places such as Moscow, Mexico City and Santiago.
When taking control of Madonna's fitness regimes, Nicole told Shape magazine: '[Madonna's] previous trainer was recruiting professional dancers for the dance cardio portion of her fitness training. I was brought on board to assist her on her last tour.
'When the tour ended, I immersed myself in understanding anatomy, physiology, and the latest fitness trends while continuing my dance training. I continued to train Madonna and now I'm her primary trainer.'

Los Angeles - Kim Kardashian has been bombarded with abuse after flaunting her post-baby body online.

The 32-year-old reality TV star has been branded a "slut" and deemed a bad example for her three-month-old daughter North - whom she has with boyfriend Kanye West- after she shared a revealing snapshot of her impressive butt on her Instagram account on Thursday.

In response to the photograph, Avamoriarty wrote: "One word: slut."

While Yaraalzubi said: "What the hell Kim? You are an actual mother. Instead of posting pictures of your precious baby, you post pictures of your fucking ass and body. You should be ashamed of yourself posting this."

User Radlaur added: "You're a mother, not a prostitute."

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has been trying to shift her pregnancy pounds with the combination of a gruelling exercise regime and the Atkins diet, but while some of her fans were quick to criticise the 'selfie' - which saw her in a one-piece white swimsuit - her boyfriend Kanye was delighted by what he saw.

He wrote on Twitter: "HEADING HOME NOW".

Kim has previously expressed her desire to do a nude photo shoot for iconic men's magazine Playboy once she's returned to her pre-baby weight.

She said before giving birth to North in June: "As soon as I pop this thing out, I want to do Playboy or some nude shoot."

Lady Gaga reveals ARTPOP album cover

Los Angeles - Lady Gaga took some inspiration from Botticelli's The Birth of Venus for her ARTPOP cover.

The cover was designed by Jeff Koons, a famous contemporary artist, and features a statue of the Applause singer, made by Koons himself according to MTV. The statue will be present at the launch party for the album on 10 November.
Lyn Warren, an expert on Koons' work, told MTV that the artist usually works with pop stars that he believes will be 'iconic', like Michael Jackson which he did a statue of in the 80s.

The ARTPOP cover was also revealed on Clear Channel billboards worldwide in countries like Belgium, France, Spain, UK, Chile, Mexico and of course the US.

Lauryn Hill gets permission to tour

Los Angeles - Lauryn Hill has been granted court permission to tour.

The former Fugees singer - who was released from jail last week - was required to spend three months on home detention as part of her sentence for tax evasion, but sought permission from a judge to go on the road between 15 November until 31 December, and her request has been granted.

However, the Ready of Not hitmaker must get all the details for each show - including dates, cities and her hotel accommodation - approved by her probation officer.

After the agreed period, Lauryn must return home to complete her sentence, according to website TMZ.

Leniency

Lauryn - who released a new single, Consumerism, ahead of her release last week - was jailed on 8 July after failing to pay taxes of more than $1.8m for income she earned between 2005 and 2007.

Her sentence also took into account income and tax losses for 2008 and 2009, taking the total to approximately $2.3m.

The 38-year-old singer's initial sentence of a year in jail was reduced after she asked for leniency because of her charity work and estrangement from the music industry. She also paid off $970 000 of the $2.3m tax bill before heading to jail.

Woody Allen objects to Indian anti-smoking ads in movies

New Delhi - Woody Allen was not impressed with Indian authorities putting anti-smoking ads in his movie Blue Jasmine.

The movie has two smoking scenes and, under Indian law, health warnings on tobacco use are mandatory while showing smoking scenes in films or on television. The film that stars Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin had been slated for release on Friday.

The veteran film-maker had refused to make "customizations" in the film to accommodate the ads which led its Indian distributor PVR Pictures to cancel its release, the online edition of Outlook magazine reported.

"Allen has the creative control as per the agreement. He wasn't comfortable with the disclaimer that we are required to run when some smoking scene is shown in films," Deepak Sharma, chief operating officer of PVR Pictures, told the IANS news agency earlier.

"He feels that when the scroll (the anti-smoking ad) comes, attention goes to it rather than the scene. We had to abide by the law and we don't have control over the film, so it's all right," he said. The film would have been screened in about 30 Indian cinemas.
