While dressing for freezing temperatures normally has little to do with fashion, the pair were dressed to impress as Kim took the 20-month-old for some fun in the snow at Big Sky.

For baby's first ski trip, the 34-year-old and her little one wore giant big black Moncler parkas with grey brown fur around the hood.

So big was the hood, that it all but covered little Nori's face not that she seemed to mind, as while enthralled by the snow, it did ensure she was snug and toasty.

Also helping the daughter of Kanye West stay warm was a big hug from her mother as she carried North along on her hip.

As her mom was just about to hit the ski fields, Kim was still wearing her helmet with goggles on top, so the star did not have to worry about the hood blocking her vision.

While she may be new to the whole snow thing, the toddler had all the right gear for the family ski trip.

Her mother meanwhile, made her look just that little bit chic and sexy.

The 34-year-old ensured her on the slopes look was something that could both be functional for actual skiing and ready for a cocktail at apres skiing by wearing her jacket with a pair of tight black pants.

Not only did the pants keep Kim warm but, of course, highlighted her famous derriere.

Just like her daughter, Kim also wore a pair of Sorel boots which were shearling lined.

As she did, her hood fell back, revealing her adorable little top knot.

The family holiday - which also included Scott Disick as well Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian - was a also a birthday celebration for Johnathan.

Kim's former publicist and bestie, turned 41 on Saturday and his honorary family made sure to shower him with love and cake.

After their big day on the slopes, the group all managed to find enough energy to head to dinner.

Family time: After a day on the slopes the rest of the clan, including Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian and Penelope, headed to dinner

Big group: Also headed out for a bite was Scott Disick and his son Mason

Joined by Kournety, Scott and Khloe, as well as little Mason and Penelope, they attempted to have a big but relaxing dinner.

However, like at her Daddy's fashion show, Nori had other plans.

As her cousins sat and watched what appeared to be a movie on an iPad while the adults ate, North decided it was a great time to run around in her thermal leggings and matching hooded sweater.

Silly sausage: While some parents get annoyed when their children won't sit still, Kim smiled away at her daughter's antics

While the family was all having a blast, the Montana holiday narrowly missed ending in tragedy.

On Saturday, while Khloe was driving with Kylie, Kim and North, their car slipped on some black ice.

Table manners: North's cousins are a bit more used to joining the adults, so sat quietly and watched a movie 

Best friends: Mason showed his younger cousin how to walk in the snow earlier in the day

Khloe initially lost control but she regained control as they landed in a ditch safely.

The 30-year-old reality star told E! host Giuliana Rancic at the Oscars on Sunday: 'It was really scary yesterday, but we're all good, all safe.

'Kim was screaming and crying – she was shook up a little bit but OK.'
