Michael Jackson's children discovered him collapsed from an overdose eight years before his death while on holiday at Walt Disney World in Florida, it has been claimed.
The late singer's children, Prince and Paris, were just four and three when they saw their father laying in the hallway of their hotel suite in 2001.
It was thanks to bodyguard, Michael La Perruque, who performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until paramedics arrived, which helped save the King of Pop.
La Perruque's revelations were first revealed at Los Angeles Superior Court where the singer's mother, Katherine Jackson, and her family are suing AEG live for £100million.
He said the children 'were crying, saying they couldn't wake up daddy', the Daily Mirror has reported.
The security guard insists he never found medication in Michael's room, but there was always empty bottles of alcohol lying around, and he feared the star would eventually overdose.
He discussed the calls he would receive from the star late at night, in which 'his speech would be very slurred. There would be a lot of mumbling and I wouldn't be able to comprehend what he was saying.
'I think he was just lonely and wanted to have somebody to talk to.'
The court was shown images of pill bottles, oxygen tanks and medical supplies that were in Michael's room when he died.

The family believe that the concert promoters wrongly hired the doctor, who was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter for his role in Michael's death.
However, AEG claim it was Michael who asked for the doctor and his own fault he died from an overdose of hospital grade anaesthetic in June 2009.
Debbie Rowe, the mother of two Michael's children, is due to give evidence at the trial over the next few days.
